SWIR Technology
SWIR bandwidth is defined between 900nm to 2500nm. This invisible wavelength of light and camera combination has many potentials of inspection methods for object detection as SWIR light has the following unique features:
- SWIR light may penetrate inside of the object.
Example below printed material the contents inside may become visible. Very suit able for “Non-destructive object inspection”.
Inner inspection covered by plastic with and without SWIR illumination - The volume of water absorption in material is able to detect at around 1450 nm wavelength. Means, much moisture part absorb SWIR light, less moisture part reflect SWIR light.. Suitable for beverage (leak) inspection, moisture level check in plants, foods
- As the range of the SWIR has wide bandwidth , it is able to be sorted for target objects by using prism spectroscopic technology with multi sensors camera.
- Temperature measurement of objects(metal, steel) is possible by SWIR sensitive camera as Heat creates SWIR light radiation, it is able to realize thermal image output.
